Mildred LeBoeuf Chauvin

Mildred LeBoeuf Chauvin, 99, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 6:53pm.  Mildred was a native of Montegut, LA and a resident of Chauvin, LA.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 9:30am until service time.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at St. Joseph Church for 11:00am with burial following in the church cemetery.

Mildred is survived by her loving family; her children, Carroll Chauvin and wife Gertie, Carl Chauvin and wife Jane, Larry Chauvin and wife Linda, Sandra Terrebonne and husband Michael, Marian Palmisano and Ralph Chauvin and wife Robin; grandchildren, Carroll Chauvin Jr., Carla Robichaux, Andy Chauvin (Connie), Todd Chauvin, Carl Chauvin Jr., Veronica Breaux (Gerald), Fredia Blanchard (Joe), Tammy Blanchard (Todd), Penny wife of late husband Peter Chauvin,  Chad Chauvin (Kim), Danielle Chauvin (Berry), Annette Ledet (Richard), Donald Chauvin (Melissa), Steven Chauvin, Ken Chauvin (Trish), Michael Terrebonne Jr. (Lesley), Dwayne Terrebonne (Nicole), David Palmisano Jr. (Angela), Gavin Chauvin (Alyssa), Blaise Chauvin; forty-one loving great grandchildren, thirty-three great-great grandchildren. 

Mildred is preceded by her husband, Andrew Joseph Chauvin; parents, Elie and Bernice Dupre LeBoeuf; children, Donald Chauvin and Bertha Blanchard and late husband Larry; brothers, Nolan LeBoeuf, Davis LeBoeuf, and Joseph LeBoeuf; grandchildren, Randy Chauvin, Peter Chauvin, Brett Palmisano.

Mildred was an independent, strong will lady who was a rock and backbone of her family. She was a lifelong seamstress and dedicated her talent at Pat’s of Chauvin and Rose’s Fabric Shop for many years.

Mildred was an avid fisherman who loved to fish.  She enjoyed cruising and had a passion for cooking for her family.  She was a very talented and skilled cook.   She also enjoyed her trips to the casino, pokeno, and bingo. Mildred had the biggest heart and she never met a stranger.

Mildred was a dedicated member of her parish and was a lifelong member of the Ladies Alter Society at St. Joseph Church, and was a member of the V.F.W.

Mildred’s love and compassion will always be remembered by the many family and friends she had throughout her life. She will never be forgotten; but always and forever loved.
