Michael Ray Guidry

Michael Ray Guidry, 72, passed away at midnight on Monday, December 31, 2018.  He was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to visitation on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral in Houma, LA beginning at 9:00AM until service time.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at noon on Thursday following visitation. Burial will take place in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church Cemetery in Houma, LA.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Bernita Thibodaux Guidry; children, Bart Guidry, Clint Guidry and wife Laura Lang Guidry, April Guidry Sins and husband Christopher; grandchildren, Emma Guidry, Brady Sins, Michael Guidry II, Farrah Sins; sisters, Jeanie Guidry Picou and husband Danny, Cathy Guidry Clement and husband Rene, and Anne Guidry Bourgeois and husband Freddy. 

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Guidry and Claire Lehman Guidry; brothers, Ronald Guidry.  

Michael served his country as a veteran of the United States Army Reserve.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his children and family.  Michael enjoyed spending time with his family at the beach and at the casino.  Michael had a quick wit and was always ready with a joke.  He will always be remembered with a smile on his face.
