Maude Bilello

April 1, 1929 — January 15, 2018

On January 15, 2018, Maude Sedotal Bilello, 88, passed away in her Houma home.

She was born August 1, 1929, near Napoleonville, La. Her life was devoted God and to her family. She was a gifted cook and became a skilled seamstress while caring for her children. She enjoyed gardening and cultivated both flowers and vegetables. For many years, she was a “carpenter’s assistant” to her husband Lucien. She a was member of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucien; parents, Julia and Oscar Sedotal; sisters Eunice Marquette, Louise Gaudet, Rita Catanese, Enola Kennair, and Isabel Hill; brothers, Russell and Junius Sedotal. She is survived by sister Doris Leidenheimer, children Catherine Kosior, Julie Bilello, Dr. Mark and Yvette Bilello, Peggy and Todd Rebstock, Barbara and Bryan Cipolla, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren and long-time friend Sidney Bourg.

Visitation will be from 5:30PM to 8PM on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Chauvin Funeral Home and Friday, January 19, 2018 at Maria Immacolota Catholic Church from 9AM. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM on January 19, 2019. Burial will follow services at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA.

Family members are grateful to all those who helped with Maude’s care during her illness.
