Mary Alice Schexnayder

Mary Alice Rome Schexnayder, 100, passed away Wednesday August 9, 2017. She was a native of Bayou Goule’, LA and a resident of Houma LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 9:00AM to service time at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00AM at the church with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park. Mary Alice is survived by her Sons, L. J. Schexnayder and wife Vicki, and Richard Schexnayder. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Roxanne Williams, Sherm Schexnayder, Aaron, Louis Jr. and Curt Schexnayder, Brandy Theriot, Tracey Ellender, Cody and Kelly Schexnayder, and Trevor and Marcus Schexnayder and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Marc Schexnayder; sons, Marc Schexnayder, Jr., and Duke Paul Schexnayder, parents, Joseph Rome and Zeuline Decauraux Rome; brothers, Lawrence Rome, Irvin, Dan, Joe, Louis and John Rome; and sisters, Francis Entremont, Mae Rome, Hazel Chauvin, Rita Powell, Gladys Vigier, Bertha Avet, and Mabel St. Pierre. She was a dedicated mother and baby sat for many of her family and friends. Mary Alice was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. She will be remembered and loved by her family; and greatly missed but never forgotten. Chauvin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., is honored to serve the Schexnayder family.
