Mary Robinson Haddad

Mary Robinson Haddad, age 63, passed away on September 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Chackbay and a longtime resident of Houma.

A visitation will be held for family and friends in the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 beginning at 6:00 until 9:00. The visitation will resume on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral beginning at 11:00 until 12:30 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, John Haddad; children, Jason Haddad, Olivia Walker (Cody) and Jordan Haddad (Shannon); grandchildren, Isabella Walker, Vivian Walker, Lily Haddad, Claire Walker, Elizabeth Haddad and Alice Walker; brothers, Donald Robinson (Christine), Larry Robinson, Thomas Robinson and Bruce Robinson (Jenny); sister, Linda Richard (Daniel); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmore and Joyce Robinson.

Mary was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her granddaughters lovingly called her “Gigi”. There was no limit to the love she shared with her children and grandchildren. Her devotion to them was only matched by her spirit of self-sacrifice and desire to be with them every day.

She was a 1977 graduate of Thibodaux HS, a 1980 (Magna Cum Laude) graduate of Nicholls State University where she earned a B.S. in Accounting and was awarded her license as a Certified Public Accountant in 1983. She was employed as an Accounting Manager for Vallourec Tube-Alloy LLC for 30 years.

A special thanks to Mrs. Felicia Johnson with Heart of Hospice for making the final weeks of Mary’s life comfortable.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Vandebilt Catholic High School.
