Mary Freeman

Mary Rose Freeman, age 91, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 5:48 pm at her home. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

A private service was held on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Burial was held in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.

Mary is survived by her son, Donald F. Hebert and wife, Pamela; daughter, Sheryl H. Branney; Daughter-in-laws, Geraldine Roddy Hebert and Christine Callahan Hebert: sister, Theresa "Tessie" Dubois and Antoinette "Toni" Morgan; 15 grandchildren: 40 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her father, Lawson J. Freeman, Sr.; Mother, Louise Champagne Freeman; sons, Francis J. Hebert, Jr. and Richard J. Hebert; son-in-law, Joe Branney; brothers, Lawson "L.J." Jr., Larry "Peg", and Irvin "Black" Freeman.

Mary was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she served as a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and fishing. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
