Mary Authement

Mary Madrus Smith Authement, 82, passed away on May 14, 2017 at 8:05PM. She was a native of Houston, TX and resident of Houma, LA.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 8:30AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 10:00AM at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial to follow services in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery # 2. Mary is survived her children, William “Bill” Authement and wife Cindy of Houma, LA, Andrew “Andy” Joseph Authement and wife Tammy of Denham Springs, LA; six grandchildren, John, Jason, Cody, Andre’, Tyler and Kristen Murphy; and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded by her husband, Aubrey Joseph Authement; her parents Milton Leon Smith and Madrus Delene Sturgeon Smith Johnson; one son, Michael Robert Authement; brother, Milton Riley Smith; sister, Ruie Jane Smith. She was a member of the Eastern Star A.W. Connely Lodge #117 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the F.O.P. She was loved by her family and all who knew her. She will always be remembered and never forgotten.  The family would like the thank Haydel Hospice, the Doctors of the Haydel Clinic, and The Oaks of Houma for their love, care and support.
