Mary Anderson

Mary Elizabeth Belanger Anderson, age 66 passed away at her residence on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. She was a native of Houma and a resident of Metairie. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Saturday, August 26, 2017 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word Service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery no. 2. Mary is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Raymond Charles Anderson, Jr.; sons, Raymond Charles Anderson III and wife Aimee’, Michael Paul Anderson and wife Nicole; daughter, Stella Lynn Anderson Schexnaydre and husband Adam; grandchildren, Madison, Lexi, Julius, Jonah, and Joseph Anderson, Mabel Schexnaydre; sisters, Suzanne Canalizo, Ellen Belanger. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Stella Belanger and sister, Kay Bunn. Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mary and her husband, Raymond married on May 14, 1973 and had three beautiful children, leaving a legacy behind. She adored her family, and absolutely loved her grandchildren. Mary was a phlebotomist for fifteen years, and then worked for Packaging Services Company for seventeen years until her retirement. She loved flowers, traveling, cooking, baking, camping, playing dominos and cards, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
