Marlene Marie Rhodes Authement

Marlene Marie Rhodes Authement, 80, passed away early Tuesday morning on September 27, 2022 at 12:15am.  Marlene was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 9:00am until service time at Annunziata Catholic Church in Houma, LA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation on Saturday at Annunziata Catholic Church at 11:00am with burial following in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church Cemetery.

Marlene is survived by her loving family; her children, Lanna Authement, Samuel Authement Jr. and wife Penny Authement; grandchildren, Renee Hemphill and husband Robert, Ryan Authement, Whitney Durapau and husband Eric; and seven loving great grandchildren.

Marlene is preceded in passing by her husband of sixty-one years, Samuel Authement Sr.; parents, Wilferd and Angelina Courteaux Rhodes; brothers, Royal Joseph Rhodes, and Wilferd “Bee” Rhodes Jr.

Marlene loved watching the Saints play ball. She enjoyed laughing and making other people laugh. She was affectionately known as “everybody’s grandmother” and loved all of her family. 

Marlene will be dearly missed by all who knew her, never forgotten and always and forever loved.
