Marie Fazzio

Marie Savoie Fazzio, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. She was a longtime resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Annunziata Catholic Church beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.

Marie is survived by her sons Francis “Snookie” Fazzio, Jr. and wife Bonnie, Barry Fazzio and wife Peggy; grandchildren, John Fazzio, Samantha Falgout and husband Matt, Benjamin Fazzio and wife Jordan, Kristy Fazzio; great-grandchildren, Abigail Fazzio, Lillian Falgout, William Falgout, Vance Fazzio, Talon Fazzio.

Marie is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Francis Fazzio, Sr.; parents, Joachin and Bertha Eschete Savoie; siblings, Kirby Savoie, Della Henry, Betty Rae Savoie, Juanita Henry, Annabelle Dumont.

Marie was a loving mother who loved her family and adored her grand and great-grandchildren. She was a longtime parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Alter Society. She was strong in her faith and faithfully prayed the rosary. Marie was incredibly talented, anyone who knew her knew that was enjoyed quilting, needlepoint, sewing, canning vegetables and baking. She was a blessing to many and will be dearly missed. She now resides in Heaven and rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family would like to thank the administration and staff at Homestead Assistant Living. They would also like to thank Dr. Russell Henry for his longterm care of Marie.
