Marian Antoinette Boudreaux Buquet, 79, a native and resident of Bayou Dularge, entered into eternal rest, while in the loving care of her family at her home on February 12, 2022.
Services are scheduled at Chauvin Funeral Home Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home in chapel Dauphine, with interment immediately following in the St Eloi church cemetery.
She is survived by her only child, Kelly Anne Liner Derouen; son-in-law, Uwell “Joey” Joseph Derouen, III; Godchildren, Avery Lirette, Sr., Annette DeHart Allemand, & Sharon Scott.
She was the youngest of four children born to Lucille Plaisance Boudreaux and August Boudreaux who proceeded her in death, along with three siblings, Earl Boudreaux, Reggie Boudreaux, and Rhea Boudreaux Scott; two sister-in-laws, Cecile Boudreaux and Sylvia Boudreaux; one brother-in-law, Essie Scott; former husbands, Rudolph “Rudy” Joseph Liner whom is the father of her only child, and Allen Louis Buquet.
She enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, especially during her 10 years at Terrebonne Place Assisted Living, prior to moving home. She was employed as a cook by MacDonell United Methodist Children’s Services until her retirement.
The family would like to extend special thanks to everyone over the years who have assisted with her care, including Terrebonne Place Assisted Living, especially caregivers Australia Anderson, Darlene Naquin, and Irma Jenkins; Terrebonne General Health Systems, Thibodaux General, Ochsner Health Care in NOLA, Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center of Lafayette, Pelican Pointe Rehabilitation in Maurice, Start Corp, Dr. Dupont, Dr. Sisam, Dr. Abben, Dana Chaisson, Rose Cuneo, & St Catherine’s Hospice.
