Margie Gardner Lee, 89, a native of Nederland, TX and longtime resident of Houma, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018, surrounded by family.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, with religious services at 12 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
Margie is survived by her five children: Linda (Hunt) Downer of Houma; Charles (Mariann) Lee of Houston, TX; Donna Theriot of Houma; Arthur “Skippy” (Connie) Lee of Lafayette; and Van “Edwin” (Carol) Lee of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Lee Sr., son-in-law Harold “Skippy” Theriot and granddaughter Michelle Hatches.
Margie loved being surrounded by family and friends. Her home was always filled with laughter. She enjoyed working on various craft projects, particularly cross-stitch.
The family wishes to thank the Terrebonne Parish Council on Aging, Chateau Terrebonne and a special thanks to the doctors and staff at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Margie’s name to the Louis Infant Crisis Center.
