Mable Rhodes

Mable Martin Rhodes, age 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. She was a native of Upper Little Caillou and a resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Friday, April 6, 2018 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2

Mable is survived by her son, Sidney Rhodes, Jr. and wife Linda Reyna Rhodes; daughters, Carole Rhodes Soudelier and husband Francis J. Soudelier, Carolyn Rhodes Gambarella.

Mable is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney J. Rhodes, Sr.; parents, Justin and Ocelia LeBlanc Martin; son-in-law, Michael D. Gambarella; siblings, John Martin, Katherine Boudreaux, Leola Callahan, and Esther Price.

Mable was a loving wife and mother. She adored her family and will be sadly missed. She loved tending to her yard and garden. Anyone who knew Mable, knew she loved going on vacation, eating at casino’s, hunting, and fishing. She touched everyone she met. Mable was a devoted Catholic woman and was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Mable is now reunited with all her family in Heaven and joined back with her husband of fifty years of marriage. She now rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family would like to thank Dr. Russell Henry for his care, and the medical team, especially Christol Knockum for her care, Bayou Cane Fire Department for their prompt service, Acadian Ambulance, and the Sheriff’s Office.
