Louis Remont

Louis (Gene) Remont,Sr., aged 78 years, a native of Cut Off,Louisiana and resident of Houma, passed away Sunday May 28,2017 at 5:48 AM. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2 ,2017 from 9:00 AM until 11:00    am with Services at 10:00 AM in the Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home. Interment to follow in St. Francis DeSales Cemetery II. Mr. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Erika “Rickey” Remont, Son, Louis Remont, Jr and companion Peggy King, Brother, Dale Remont and wife Sandy, Sister Miriam Tivet and companion John Guidry, and Grandchildren, Rachel and Renee’ Remont and great grandchildren, Johnny Jr., Charles, Jr., Abigail, Bethany, and Everyleen. Sister in law, Kaydee Remont and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond J. and Ozite Galliano Remont. Brother, Larry Remont and sister Lois Burton. Mr. Remont was a retired production specialist for Dominion and one who loved traveling, and being with friends and family. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Remont family.
