Lorry Cavalier

Lorry Joseph Cavalier, age 84, a native of Little Grand Bayou and resident of Des Allemands died peacefully on Tuesday July 20,2021 at 6:00 P.M.

A visitation will be held on Saturday July 24,2021 at St. Anthony Church in Gheens, Louisiana from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.  Interment in St. Anthony Mausoleum.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Cheryl C. Matherne and husband Gerald, Carolyn C. Unger and husband Terry, and Rosalyn C. Brondum and husband Ricky.  Grandchildren, Brandi Matherne Hicks and husband Ira Hicks, Colby Unger and wife Sarah, Kailey Unger Housend and husband Gavin, Derek Brondum and Amber Brondum. Great Grandchildren, Halo Hicks, Nova Hicks, and Malakai Hicks.  Sisters Elverta Lavigne, Marion Matherne, Bertie Acosta and husband Emery, Shirley Ougel and husband Rudy. Sisters-in-law Elsie Cavalier and Annabelle Cavalier. Loving friend Carolyn Folse and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Elsie Pintado Cavalier.  Sister Florence Lavigne.  Brothers Raymond Cavalier, Linwood Cavalier, and Argey “AJ” Cavalier and grandson Eric Matherne.

He was a welder by trade and a cattleman who loved his animals and enjoyed the outdoors.
