Lois Bonvillain

Lois Marie Domangue Bonvillain, 87, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 4:14pm. Lois was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family re invited to a visitation on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 9:00am until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma, LA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 11:00am with internment to follow in the church cemetery.

Lois is survived by her children, Michael Bonvillain and wife Linda, Faye Authement and husband Cecil, Amy Bonvillain; brothers, Donald Domangue, Byron Domangue, and Avery J. Domangue Jr., sisters, Earline Lajaunie, Mary Gail Rodrigue, Bonnie Leerkeys; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jared, Jordan, Caleb, and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Jared Jr., Blake, Kamryn, and Gavin.

Lois is preceded in death by her loving husband, J.D. Bonvillain; parents, Avery and Viola Ledet Domangue; sister, Hazel LeCompte; grandchild, Justin Authement.

Lois is a survivor of lung cancer and was cancer free at the time of her passing. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Both Lois and her late husband J.D. were faithful Catholics. They celebrated sixty-eight years together in marriage.  

Lois enjoyed traveling and she and her husband traveled to many places all over the country.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She will always be remembered and never forgotten and for ever loved.
