Linwood Paul Liner Sr., 83, was received into the hands of the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Linwood was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will continue at St. Lucy Catholic Church in Houma, LA on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at St. Lucy Catholic Church at 11:00am with burial following service at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma, LA.

Linwood is survived by his loving family; his children, Linwood Liner Jr. (Lori), Beatrice Liner Broussard, Ericka Liner Chiasson (Klebert); daughter-in-law, Kelly Sardella; siblings, Jerry Liner, Ella Shearer, Patricia Moore; grandchildren, Danielle Beebe Charbonnet (Dustin), Nicholas Beebe (Jennifer), Slate Liner (Kristen), Madison Liner Pellegrin (Grant), Zachary Liner (Olivia), Scott Sardella (Tabitha); great grandchildren, Alexander Charbonnet, Jackson Liner, Adalynn Mae "Mae Mae" Charbonnet, Asher Liner, Jude Beebe, Maycen Sardella and Vincent Sardella.

Linwood is preceded in passing by his wife, Norma Boulay Liner; parents, Alcee Liner and Beatrice Crochet Liner; sons-in-law, Randy Broussard, Michael Solito, Daniel Beebe; step-son, Jeffrey Sardella; siblings, Elton Liner, Michael Liner, and Elizabeth Dupre.

Linwood was a retired Master Gunnery Sergeant who served over thirty years in the United States Marine Corps. He also was a deacon in the Roman Catholic Church. Deacon Linwood touched the lives and hearts of many people throughout his lifetime.

Linwood was well known for his contribution to "Toys for Tots" and for over sixty years he served as the local chairman for the Terrebonne Parish region.

When accepting donations he would always say, "You just put a smile on another child's face.".

In lieu of flowers; please bring new toy donations for "Toys for Tots" in the honor and remembrance of MGySgt Linwood Paul Liner Sr.
