Levy Plaisance, Jr.

Levy F. Plaisance, Jr., 73,  a native and resident of Gheens, LA. passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 2:10 PM surrounded by his family.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at the Vacherie/Gheens Community Center on Saturday, April 17, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow in St. Anthony Mausoleum.

Levy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Trudy Rivet Plaisance.  His sons, Lee Plaisance, Jed & wife, Tina Dufrene Plaisance. Daughter-in-law, Shannon Martinez Plaisance.  Brothers, Spergin, Michael, David, Chris, and Tommy Plaisance. Sisters, Leann Dufrene, Genell Cheramie, and Judy Lapeyrouse. Grandchildren, Cecily, Coleen, Cydney, Molly, Lucas, Theo, Hayden, and Camden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Levy Sr. and Adelia Matherne Plaisance, Son, Tad Michael Plaisance and Sister, Verlie P. Matherne.

Levy loved camping and gardening with his tractor. He enjoyed being with family and friends. He was a  driller in the oilfield industry beginning his career with Two-R Drilling and retiring with Hercules Drilling. He will be missed by all who loved him.
