Leo Ellender

Leo Paul Ellender, age 95, passed on Thursday, July 5, 2018. He was a native and resident of Bourg.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Ann Catholic Church on Friday, July 13, 2018 beginning at 9:00 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery.

Leo is survived by his sister, Alice E. Redmond; sister-in-law, Hazel Ellender; and 13 nieces and nephews.

Leo is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Guy and Stella Josephine Lirette Ellender; 1st wife, Elizabeth Journee Ellender; 2^nd wife, Edith Cunningham Ellender; Special Friend, Dorothy "Dolly" Louviere; brothers, Bernard P. Ellender and wife, Ann, and Arthur "Tony" Ellender, Sr.; sisters, Elise E. La Bat and husband, Allen, and Merill E. Lirette and husband, Nolan.

Leo was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a past Mason. He enjoyed the outdoor activities and raising cattle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Heritage Manor staff and St. Catherine's Hospice.
