Lefey Marie Smith

Lefey Marie Smith was a native of Houma LA. She loved fiercely for 89 wonderful years. She was a retired Terrebonne parish school bus driver. She safely and lovingly transported children for over two decades. She was the most generous, selfless, gentle and Christ loving person one would have the pleasure of knowing. She enjoyed going to church, eating seafood and watching game shows on television. 

To know her was to love her. She was a grandmother to the world. A friend to everyone. 

She is survived by three children, Kenneth Haydel (Anne), Diana Goss (Larry) and William Smith (Janet). She was preceded in death by her parents Taylor and Lillian Lirette, her five children, Jeffery Smith, Steven Lirette, Allen Smith, Anna Simmons and Carl Smith and her grandson Kenneth Haydel Jr. 

She was loved and cherished by 15 grandchildren and spouses and 32 great grandchildren. 

Celebration of life mass will be September 30th, 10 am, St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Private family burial to follow.
