Larry Jefferson

Larry Donnell Jefferson, 55, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 3:30pm. Larry was a native of Bogalusa, LA and a resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to a celebration of his life at Chauvin Funeral Home at 5899 Hwy#311, Houma, LA on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 11:00am until conclusion of services at 1:00pm. Inurnment will take place privately by the family at a later date.

Larry is survived by his loving family; his wife, Falica Jefferson; brother, Carl Jefferson and wife Cherie; and close nephew, Carl Jefferson III. ; step-parents, Billy and Beris McCray; uncle, Jerry Jefferson.

Larry is preceded in passing by his sister, Regina Marie Jefferson; parents, Carl and Mattie Brumfield Jefferson; and brother, Lionel Jefferson.

Larry was a mechanic with Red's Junk Yard for over twenty years of dedication and was known to help anybody in mechanical need and assistance; reguardless of if they could ever repay his kindness. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and meeting and spending time with family, friends and his neighbors. He was a kind person who would help anybody in need. He enjoyed BBQ's and fishing in the back creek near his home.

He will be dearly missed by his many family and friends. Always loved, he will never be forgotten.
