Kirvie Michael Brunet

Kirvie Michael Brunet, age 92, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Broadway Nursing Facility. Kirvie was a long-time resident of Theriot, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, December 23, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow in St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery.

Kirvie is survived by his three children, Cathy and her husband Johnny, Byron and his wife Desi, and Barry and his wife Mary; son-in-law, David Landry; 8 grandchildren, David and Danny Landry, Jermie and Jolie Ball, Brandie, Jacob, and Sarah Brunet, and Aaron Brunet; 6 great grandchildren, Kylah and Makenzy Verdin, Zaiden Duplantis, Emma and Addison Landry, Gavin and Gage Brunet, and David Landry III; brother, Ruby Brunet; sisters, Earline McElroy, Emily Champagne.

Kirvie is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 71 years, Ethel Voisin Brunet; daughter, Debbie Brunet Landry; parents, Emily Champagne Brunet and Ellis Brunet, Sr.; siblings, Russell Brunet, Leroy Brunet, Ellis Brunet, Jr., Thelma Duplantis, Brunella Brunet.

Kirvie was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to his family. He loved them dearly and always enjoyed visiting with family. Kirvie was a Boat Captain for 33 years with Louisiana Land and Exploration Company. Anyone who knew Kirvie, knew he loved to tell jokes, fishing, hunting, and gardening. Kirvie passed away just four months from his beloved wife Ethel and daughter, Debbie Landry. He is now reunited with his wife and daughter and they all rests in the arms of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
