Kevin Luke

Kevin John Luke, age 34, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022. Kevin was a longtime resident of Dulac.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home on Sunday, January 23, 2022, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A Liturgy of the Word Service will begin at 5:00 p.m. Cremation will follow after the service. To honor Kevin, the family will be wearing Saints attire or black and gold. All are welcome.

Kevin is survived by his loving parents, Patrick and Samantha Luke; sisters, Patrice and fiancé Malcolm Howard, and Angel Luke; adored niece, Aniya Howard and nephew, Jacorey Howard; grandmother, Melissa Crochet; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loving friends.

Kevin is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sidney “Na-Na” Luke, Sr. and Wilma “Ann” Luke; maternal grandfather, Jerry Luke.

Kevin was a loving young man who loved hard and blessed many. He loved the New Orleans Saints “Who Dat” and was very fluent with the history of football and could hold long conversations with anyone as well as going to football games with his aunt Lena. He traveled with his friends to watch wrestling matches and play bingo with his cousin Billy and friend T. Kevin enjoyed hunting at the camp with family, loved his golf cart, adored his niece Aniya and playing the playstation with his nephew Jacorey. Kevin was very close to his Maw-Maw Melissa, he had a special place in her heart. He was honest, loving, selfless, caring, and always had a smile on his face. Kevin leaves this world behind to be reunited with two of his favorite people, his Maw-Maw Ann, and Paw-Paw Jerry. He is now at rest in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
