Kevin Babin

 Kevin Peter Babin, age 64, a native of Houma and resident of New Iberia for many years and now a resident of Houma. Born May 14, 1957 and gained eternal rest on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11:01 AM.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Bernadette Catholic Church Friday, August 13, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at St. Francis Cemetery #2.

Kevin leaves to cherish his memories, his mom, Catherine Hebert Babin; sister, Ketti Breaux and husband Bernie; brothers, Kyle Babin, and Kodi-Lee Babin and wife Stephanie; three nieces, Shanely, Shelby Mae, and Keslie; four nephews, Justin, Jared, Bryce James, and Bryce Joseph; seven great nieces.

Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Roy Babin; grandparents, Ernest “Sam” and Jeanne Hebert, and Oliver and Irene Babin; godparents, Susan Babin and George Picone.

Kevin was a friendly, happy special guy. He loved Mardi Gras, watching the Saints and LSU, and especially being at home with family and friends for the holidays. Kevin was loved by all who touched his life and will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

The family would like to thank Kev’s long-term caregiver, Rose Anthony and the staff of The ARC of New Iberia. They also extend gratitude to the nurses and staff at Chateau Terrebonne Health Care, TGMC Hospital and Dr. Patrick Walker.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic; local and CDC regulations require facemask and proper social distancing while attending funeral services.
