Kerry "Yogi" Parfait

Kerry "Yogi" John Parfait, age 62, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. He was a native of Dulac and a resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, 30, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Yogi is survived by his wife of 38 years, Wanda “Andree'” Broussard Parfait; sons, Jonathan K. Sr., Jonah P., Cody J. and wife, Mary, Nicky J., Brody and wife, Serena; daughters, Tricia M. Parfait, and Kaitlyn M. Parfait; sisters, Geraldine Parfait, Verna "Connie" Billiot, Sheila Louviere and husband, Ricky Sr.; brother-in-law, Nolan Parfait; 18 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Yogi is preceded in death by his parents, Vernice "Nicky" John and Inez "Tut" Marie Verdin Parfait; brothers, Enos Fitch, Mason Parfait, and Perry Parfait; sister, Clara Parfait; nephew, Linest “Doo” Billiot Jr.; brother-in-law, Olden Parfait Sr.; and former wife, Peggy Sue Parfait.

Yogi was a member of the Bayou Blue Assembly of God Church. He was a self-employed commercial fisherman and a tugboat captain. He enjoyed traveling, camping, going to Saints games, riding his motorcycle, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched.
