Kermit Jude Doiron, age 62, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 24, 2021, at 12:41 a.m. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. He attended St. Stanislaus Catholic School in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
Kermit was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had a deep religious faith in God.
Kermit enjoyed spending time with his family, he especially enjoyed his fishing trips with his brothers. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV; the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers were his two favorite teams.
The family would like to thank their brother Daniel and wife Trudy for welcoming Kermit into their home. Kermit was very vocal in expressing his love and appreciation and would tell everyone he met how blessed he was for having siblings who supported and cared for him during his illness.
Kermit was preceded in death by his parents, James “Jimmy” Henry Doiron Sr. and Jeanette Ann Detiveaux Doiron; and brother, Jude Doiron; paternal grandparents, Clay Ellis Doiron and Frances Fabregas Doiron: Maternal grandparents, William “Ben” Detiveaux and Inez Eschete Detiveaux.
Kermit is survived by his wife of 20 years, Mary Kathleen Porter Doiron; 5 brothers, James Doiron, Jr. and wife, Wendy, Thomas Doiron and wife, Jackie, Daniel Doiron and wife, Trudy, William Doiron and Grace and Byron Doiron and wife, Mary; 4 sisters, Jennifer Doiron and Nelson, Frances Doiron Lutgring and husband, Ed Jr., Natalie Doiron LaLande and husband, Parry Sr., and Jill Doiron Bonvillain and husband, Randy; Godchild, Parry Dean LaLande Jr.; stepchildren, Darren LeBoeuf, Dena LeBoeuf, and Leia Hall; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family will honor Kermit’s wishes in having a private graveside service.
