Kenneth Francis Boudreaux, Sr., 79, passed away surrounded by his loving family at 10:19 pm on Friday, March 2, 2018. Kenneth was a loving, selfless family man, husband of 57 years, father of seven children and grandfather of fourteen grandchildren.
Kenneth was a native and resident of Houma, LA, attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic School and graduated from USL in Lafayette, LA in 1961 in Mechanical Engineering. He was a co-owner of B& R Mechanical Contractors, Inc., J.B. Boudreaux & Sons, Inc., Tri — B Mechanical Contractors, Inc., Boudreaux & Boudreaux Associate Engineers, Inc., and owner of Kenneth F. Boudreaux P.E., Inc. He provided mechanical engineering design services for Terrebonne General Hospital and numerous medical facilities, schools, churches and commercial buildings in Houma and the surrounding area. Kenneth was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served on the Terrebonne Parish Zoning Board for many years.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Mary Susan (Douthit) Boudreaux; brother Ronald Boudreaux and wife Sandra; children: Kelly Obkirchner and husband Stuart; Mary "Boo" Rozas and husband Stewart; Susan Stevens and husband Brent; Kourtney Rush; Kern Boudreaux; and Jules Boudreaux and wife Lisa; grandchildren: Caroline, Gabrielle and Kenneth Obkirchner; Morgan, Camille and Paige Rozas; Lauren, Sara and Julia Stevens; Olivia and Graham Rush; Porter Boudreaux; and Madison and Ella Boudreaux; niece Katarina Osborn and husband David; and grand-nephew Kuillin James Osborn.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his son Kenneth Francis Boudreaux, Jr. and by his parents, Jules Anthony ttJ.B." Boudreaux and Rosalina Eva Chaisson Boudreaux.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation Monday, March 5, 2018 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and resume Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 10:30am until 12:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral at 1:00pm. Burial will follow services in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
