Kathleen Tamplain

TAMPLAIN, KATHLEEN JOAN HEBERT, a resident of Houma, died peacefully at 4:35 a.m. Saturday December 30, 2017 at the age of 76 and was a lifelong resident of Houma.

Visitation will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home Inc., Houma, on Tuesday January 2 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting continues at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Houma on Wednesday January 3 from 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery. 

She is survived by three children, David J. Blanchard and wife Susan, Baton Rouge, Lynn B. Schroeder and husband Michael, Baton Rouge, and Christopher A. Blanchard and wife Katie, Houma; brothers, Brother Ray Hebert, S.C., Baton Rouge, John S. Hebert and wife Patricia, Houma, and Mark O. Hebert and wife Becky, Houma; grandchildren, Nathan and Matthew Blanchard, Eric and Katelyn Schroeder, and Joshua and Elena Blanchard.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth F. Tamplain, Sr.; parents J. Raymond Hebert and Leona Hutchinson Hebert; brother, William Harvey Hebert, and former husband Allison J. Blanchard, Jr.

Kathy was a lifelong educator, including a student through her Masters +30, a teacher and supervisor for the Terrebonne Parish School system, and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma / Kappa Kappa Iota educational societies.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the school of your choice or the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Foundation.
