Karl Prince

Karl Joseph Prince, 57, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Houma, LA passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018.

Family and Friends are invited to memorial visitation on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 9:00PM and Friday, June 29, 2018 at Maria Immaculata Church in Houma, LA from 9:00AM until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Friday at 11:00AM at Maria Immaculata Church. A private burial will be held after services.

Karl is survived by his son Matthew Joseph Prince of Houma, LA; stepdaughters, Heather Theriot and husband Brent Jr. of Houma, LA and Ashley Deroche and companion Tyler Harrington of Houma, LA; three brothers, David Prince and wife Leigh of Missouri City, TX, Brian Prince and wife Suzanne of Duson, LA, and Doyle Prince Jr. and wife Gayle of Houma, LA; five sisters, Kathy Prince LeBoeuf of Sikes, LA, Brenda Prince Schmitt of Houma, LA, Twin sister, Joan Prince Kelly of Lafayette, LA, sisters, Karen Prince of Lafayette, LA and Patricia Prince Rhodes and husband Todd of Houma, LA; grandchildren, Lane LeBlanc and Ava Theriot; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Karl is preceded in death by his wife Donna Blanchard Prince; parents, Dolye Sr. and Grace Hebert Prince; father-in-law, Minus Blanchard; and nephew Dustin James Prince.

Karl was a loving father who took pride in his career as a tugboat Captain for over thirty years. He had a love for riding his motorcyle. Karl was a very well known member of the community.

Karl had many friends and family. He was too well loved to ever be forgotten.
