Karen A. Duthu, 54, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020. Karen spent her last day celebrating Christmas with her family and friends. She said Christmas morning, that Christmas will never be the same and she was so right.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00M until 10:00am. A Memorial Service will begin following visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home beginning at 10:00am. Burial will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery on a later date.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of thirty years, Ray Duthu; two wonderful sons, Christopher Duthu and companion Dawn Woodall and Wess Duthu and wife Angel Duthu; six grandchildren whom she loved more than anything else in the world, Gabrielle Songe, Zoie Duthu, Coltyn Songe, Lillian Duthu. Stanley Duthu, and Ridge Duthu; four brothers, Kevin, Albert Jr., Joey, and Jason Pellegrin. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Karen is preceded in death by her two loving parents, Albert Pellegrin Sr., and Judith Pellegrin; sister, Susan Pellegrin, Grandparents, Gertrude and Adam Funguy, Abbie and Nell Bourg, Alfred and Ada Pellegrin; one special uncle, Joseph Bobby Fanguy, and three fur babies, Ashley, Teddy and Jolie.
Karen was a loving wife, wonderful mother, cherished grandmother and an amazing caregiver. Karen always put other people before herself. Karen is also a survivor of ovarian cancer. She went back to school and obtained her G.E.D. in 2012. She loved spending time with family and friends; especially her grandchildren. She loved riding on the back of their Harley Davidson. She loved angels, coke, and yellow roses. Her favorite place to eat was at Cracker Barrel and she always got the same thing, meatloaf! She loved spending time with her dog, Sam.
The family would like to thank Rachel Brock, Grand Calliou Volunteer Fire Department, Acadian Ambulance, T.P.S.O., Mrs. Libbi Moore for teaching Karen all the things she learned in healthcare, Chauvin Funeral Home for there compassionate service, and thanks to all family and friends for there kind words and prayers.
