June Breaux Greene, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Franklin and resident of Houma. June is now reunited with her husband and they both rest in the arms of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church on Saturday, January 6, 2018, beginning at 8:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be following St. Francis Cemetery no. 2
June is survived by her sons, Walter Michael Greene and wife Jaye, and Joel Edward Greene; daughter-in-law, Judith Greene; brother, Dr. Richard Dix Breaux; grandchildren, Tracy, Laura, Travis, Trenton, Erick, Erin; 6 great-grandchildren.
June is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Lawrence Greene; son, Roger Patrick Greene; parents, Arthur Breaux and Pauline Dardenne; and grandson, Brandon Greene
June was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly. She was a volunteer at Terrebonne General Medical Center, World Class Cook-Many Time Entrant National Winner, Winner in Houma Courier Cooking Competition, Betty Crocker Original Recipe Contest, and featured on Chef John Folse’s PBS Cooking Show. June was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church and a longtime member of the Kaycee Ladies.
The family would like to thank Sara Collins for her care and compassion for her 20 plus years of service and friendship to June and husband.
