Julia Trahan Currie, age 90, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 5:15 p.m. She was a longtime resident of Houma. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Friday, December 1, 2017 beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. Julia is survived by her daughters, Charlene Hebert Lottinger and husband Dickey and Donna Hebert Hutchinson and husband Ray; grandchildren, Britt Lottinger and wife Donna, Johnny, Richie, and Brianne Lottinger and fiance’ Barry Melancon, Brad Hutchinson and wife Annabel, and Byron Hutchinson and wife Teri; great-grandchildren, Dillon, Taylor, Amelia, and Paxton Lottinger, Cole, Whitney, Turner, and Eliza Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Joyce Trahan. Julia is preceded in death by her former husband, Alphonse Hebert and late husband George Currie; parents, Leon and Cecile Bergeron Trahan; brothers, Nelson Trahan, Leon Trahan, Jr. and wife Anne. Julia was a beautiful woman who lived life at its fullest. She loved her family dearly and adored her grand and great-grandkids. She traveled extensively, she was an excellent seamstress, but most of all she loved to dance. Julia was past president, vice president, and secretary for the Krewe of Hyacinthians and Queen of the Krewe of Hyacinthians in 1981. Julia worked for the Department of Agriculture until her retirement as an Administrative Clerk.
