Juanita Bonvillain

November 18, 1944 — October 11, 2021

Juanita Louviere Bonvillain, age 76, passed away Monday October 11, 2021. She was a native of Chacahoula and longtime resident of Bayou Black.  

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Monday October 18, 2021 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Bayou Black Cemetery.

Juanita is survived by her husband, Ivy Bonvillain, Jr.; daughters, Vanessa Theriot and spouse Trent Theriot, and Nanessa Bonvillain; four grandchildren, Jaron Ourso, Breanna Toups, Dylan Kliebert, and Zayne Saunier; four step-grandchildren; one great step-grandchild; sisters, Dolores Bourgeois, Ivy Mae Gullick, Ruth Prejeant, Bonnie Stubblefield; brothers, Joseph, Roy, and IJ Louviere; numerous nieces and nephews.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Ivy John Louviere, Sr. and Dolores Guilliot Louviere; grandson, Drake Michael Kliebert; siblings, Elaine Louviere, Elodie Tyler, E.J. Louviere, Ann McDonald, Phyllis Moore, Louis Louviere, and Theresa Louviere.

Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed listening to country music as well as doing crossword search puzzles. She also loved fishing, sewing, going to the casino, eating crabs, gardening, and canning vegetables and jelly. Above all nothing came close to her love of spending time with her grandchildren and husband. Juanita will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic; local and CDC regulations require facemask and proper social distancing while attending funeral services.
