Joyce Schexnayder

Joyce Chatagnier Schexnayder, 88, born February 3, 1929; passed away August 28, 2017 at 1:06AM. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will begin on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00AM until service time. A Liturgy of the Word will begin 11:00AM on Thursday after visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home. Burial will take place following services in St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of sixty-eight years; Clifton O. Schexnayder; one daughter, Gwen Stevens and two sons, Ted Schexnayder and wife Tammy Jaccuzzo Schexnayder and Joey Schexnayder and wife Joan Jaccuzzo Schexnayder; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Olive Theriot Chatagnier; three brothers, Francis, Harold, and Gerald Chatagnier; her son-in-law, Guy “Buddy” Stevens Jr. Joyce volunteered at the Military Museum on Barrow Street.
