Joyce Dupre

Joyce “Bea” Anna Pellegrin Dupre, 82, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019. She was a native of Dulac, LA and a resident of Bourg, LA. 

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 9:00AM until service time.  A Liturgy of the Word will begin at Chauvin Funeral Home at 1:00PM with burial following in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Troy Dupre and wife Jody, Nathan Dupre and wife Stephanie; daughters, Evelyn Dupre Martin and husband Perry, Diana Dupre; grandchildren, Kevin Parfait, Catina P. Burton, Jerrard Parfait, Monique M. Hazleton, Emily M. LeCompte, Erika D. Matthews, Natalie Dupre, Katie D. Boudreaux, Stephanie D. Breaux, Morgan Dupre, Brenna Dupre, Samantha Moreau and Morgan Marcel; sister, Carolina “Noonie” LeBlanc; son-in-law, Terrell Parfait; Joyce is also survived by twelve great grandchildren. 

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Dupre Jr.; parents, Justin and Leonise Carrere Pellegrin;  daughter, Ramona Dupre Parfait; brothers, Percy Pellegrin, Anthony “Mo-Neg” Pellegrin, Joseph Murphy Pellegrin, Jessie Pellegrin; sisters, Beulah “Meon” Voisin, Ester “T-Lou” Price, Elvie “Beb” Griffin, Eva “Peonie” Duthu, Geraldine “DeDen” Gill, Eula Maie Pellegrin, Evela Pellegrin.

Joyce loved cooking, cleaning, sewing and making quilts with her sisters and daughter Ramona. She enjoyed most of all spending time with her family. 

Joyce was the last founding member of Dupre Brothers Construction Company Inc.

She will be dearly missed, always loved and never forgotten.

The family would like to thank Mary Dupre for over thirty years of devoted kindness and service. The family would also like to give special thanks to Rene Pellegrin and Rhonda Rodrigue and Haydel Memorial Hospice.
