Joyce is preceded in death by her husband of 63 ½ years Eanest “E.J.” Bergeron; parents, Arthur Peter Voisin Sr., and Annie Fanguy Voisin; two brothers, Joyle “Joe” Peter Voisin, and Arthur “Peter” Voisin Jr.

Joyce married her soul mate on September 5, 1954 and was blessed with a loving husband of 63 ½ years and 6 beautiful children. Joyce loved to dance and could always been seen arm and arm with her husband E.J. wherever there was good music. Joyce would feed not just her family but friends and anyone around that loved to eat. Everyday there was different smells of delicious Cajun cooking and baked goodies coming from the family home. There was never anything asked of her she would not do. Joyce had many talents, gardening; she could make anything grow, cooking; everything was always delicious, sewing; for herself, her family and Mardi Gras crews, Saturday night family card games; she loved her duces and pennies, but her greatest talent was being a loving wife and the greatest mother any child could ever have or ask for. Joyce is a beautiful woman inside and out and will be missed but remembered by anyone that crossed her path in life.

June 3, 2017 Joyce held E.J.'s hand as he passed away, now Joyce is reunited with her soul mate in heaven and will forever be happy and be in peace. E.J. was given the best Christmas present he could have ever received.

The family would like to give a special thanks to everyone at Hospice of South Louisiana and especially Kacie, she was a true angel sent to the family in our time of need.
