Josepha "Joann" Porche

Josepha “Joann” Gautreaux Porche, 77, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family in her home on November 24, 2017. Visitation will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM and continue Tuesday morning, November 28, 2017 from 9:00AM until service time. Liturgy of the Word will begin on Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home at 11:00AM. Private burial will follow at a later date in St. Francis de Sale #2. Josepha is survived by her son, Michael Porche and Fiance’ Dannette Kennedy; daughters, Penny Brooks and husband Derrell Brooks, Paula Porche and fiance’ Troy Hebert; brother, Roland Burton; grandchildren, Ryan Porche and wife Marianna Porche, Lauren Cherry and husband Benjamin Cherry, Taylor Brooks, Troy “T.J.” Lapeyrouse Jr. and companion Shelly Brown; great grandchildren, Brooks Cherry and Charlotte Porche; and former daughter-in-law, Delana Sullivan. Josepha is preceded in death by her husband, Caul Paul Porche Jr.; and sister, Marie Hebert. Joann was a loving, caring and compassionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who cared deeply for everyone she met. Never thinking of herself; she ask about the well being of family and friends even until the very end.
