John Valdes

John Frank Valdes Jr, 52, a native and resident of Houma, LA passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 6:40pm. 

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation this Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 12:00PM (Noon) until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home.  A Liturgy of the Word will begin following visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home for 3:00PM.  The family will hold a private burial at a later date in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.

John is survived by his mother, Christine Price Valdes; children, David Paul Valdes and companion Ashley Bussey, Brittany Valdes Boquet and husband Thomas Boquet; grandchildren, Ivan John LeBlanc, Max Anthony Boquet, and Mason Thomas Boquet; Hunter DeHart; god-daughter, Kira Teresa Gurganus.

John is preceded in death by his father, John Frank Valdes Sr.; sister, Marcelite Valdes; maternal grandparents,  Ledonia Price and Wiley Price, paternal grandparents, Francisco and Rosina Valdes.

John served his community as a police officer, firefighter and EMT for many years.  John was a wonderful son, father and grandfather to his family; which he loved very dearly. Some of Johns passions were cooking, fishing, and riding Harley Davidsons; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of others in need. 

The family would like to thank the doctors at TGMC for the love and care they provided to John and family in their time of need.  A special thanks to all the friends and family for keeping John and family in their thoughts and prayers.
