John "Huby" Bardeleben

John “Huby” Hubert Bardeleben, 90, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 2:24am.  Huby was a native of Gibson, LA and a resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until service time.  A Liturgy of the Word will follow visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home at 11:00am with burial to follow in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Huby is survived by his loving family; his children, Donna Bergeron; siblings, Elma Pierce; daughter-in-law, Nancy Bardeleben; grandson, Clifton (Crystal) Bergeron, Damon (Logan) Bergeron, Paul (Skye) Bardeleben, Shane (Sheri) Bardeleben, grand-daughter, Janelle (Dexter) McElroy; nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Huby is preceded in passing by his wife, Jane Cenac Bardeleben, parents, Paul and Janet Lyall Bardeleben; sons, Keith Bardeleben  and Lynn Bardeleben; siblings, Wayne Bardeleben, Elmo Bardeleben  and Faye Farrington; and son-in-law, Kerry Bergeron.

Huby proudly served in the United States Army in the Korean War achieving the rank of Sergeant.  He was a proud lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 3700.  Huby enjoyed spending time with his wife and family traveling, and spending time in the outdoors at the camp. He was an avid fisherman and carpenter who always had something he was tinkering with or a project he was working on.  

Huby will always be remembered and loved by his many family and friends.
