SERVICES ARE AS FOLLOWED: Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home on Monday, August 31, 2020 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Religious Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
John “CoCo” Norris Dean, Sr., age 85, passed away Tuesday August 18, 2020 in his granddaughters’ arms. He was native of Dulac, La.
CoCo was survived by his daughters, Evalina Pellegrin, Earline Collins (T Bruce), Arlene LeBoeuf (Rodney Sr.), Tara D. Fitch (Zac); sixteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; half-brothers, Joe Dean, Ross Dean; half-sister, Rose Pierre, and son in law, Raymond Garrison, Sr.
CoCo is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Eva Dean; son, John Dean, Jr.; parents, Clarence and Eva Mae Fazzio Dean; brother, Joseph “Bolo” Ivy Dean, Sr.; sisters, Wilda “Tunt Da” Verdin, Anna Mae “Tunt Meon” Gregoire; half-brother, Wilbert Dean, and son in law Ricky Pellegrin.
CoCo was a loving and patient husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and watching wrestling. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
