John Glen Cangelosi, Sr.

John Glen Cangelosi Sr., 69, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 6:17 am. John was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service in his honor on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until a Liturgy of the Word at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery. 

John is survived by his loving family; his children, Melissa Cangelosi (Billy), John Cangelosi, Jr. and wife Erica Cangelosi; grand-children, Aaliyah, Deja, Destiny, Dedrick, Giovanni, Devonte', and Johnte' Cangelosi, Milah Henry, Za'Kyrie Reeves, Keelan and Jordan Beal; stepchildren, Tyler Ingram, Bethany (Chad), Mallory (Cody) and Tanna Henry; brothers, Nick Cangelosi (Sis) and Andrew Cangelosi (Cindy).

John is preceded in passing by his parents, Joseph and Congetta Brettillo Cangelosi; brothers Joseph Cangelosi Jr. and Paul Rick" Cangelosi; and sisters Nancy Cangelosi Babin, Patricia and Mary Cangelosi.

John was lovingly known by everyone as "Pops'. He loved spending quality time with his grandchildren and treasured those moments. John had a kind heart, and he truly loved helping people. He had a deep affection for his dogs, who brought him joy and companionship. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, and dancing to Cajun music. 

Pops was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
