John Bernard

John Burton Bernard passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the age of 80. He was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Dulac, LA. John was an entrepreneur and proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. John enjoyed reading, traveling and loved to fish with his children and grandchildren. He never met a stranger and loved visiting with family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a celebration of life at the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Posse building in Port Allen, LA on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

John is survived by his daughter, Tracy Bernard; son Mark Bernard and his wife,  Monique; grandchildren, Joshua Bernard and his wife, Valerie, Ty Bernard and his wife, Bliss; great-grandchild, Brock Bernard, and brother, Paul Bernard; he is also survived by his loving canine companion, Toby.

John is preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Flora Beard Bernard; John is also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
