Jimmie Jordan

Jimmie Joe Jordan, age 71, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 8:30 am. He was a native of Fort Myers, FL and a resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation Grand Caillou Baptist Church on Friday, November 9, 2018 beginning at 9:00 am until a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lynell Rita Leicher Jordan; sons, William L. Jordan and wife, Krista, and Duane A. Jordan and wife, Jenniffer; daughters, Angel J. Willis and husband, Kenneth, Charity L. Jordan, Loretta J. Bautista and husband, Sergio Bautista; sisters, Bonnie Ann Flippin and husband, Tom, and Tommie Lee Francis and husband, Mickey; 30 grandchildren.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his father, Abner Worrel Jordan, Sr. and wife, Sarah; mother, Merle Agnes Hudkins; brother, Abner W. Jordan, Jr.; grandchildren, Joseph, Austin, Cheyanne, William Jr. and Trinity Jordan.

Jimmie was a member of the Grand Caillou Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Terrebonne Bird Club. He was an avid Florida Gator Fan. He enjoyed fishing, sightseeing, riding horses, doing art and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
