Jessie P. Hebert, Jr.

Jessie Paul Hebert, Jr., 70, a native and resident of Houma, La., passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022.

A visitation will be held in his honor at Chauvin Funeral Home in Magnolia Chapel on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 5pm to 8pm. Visitation will resume in Magnolia Chapel on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 9am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Jessie is survived by his loving niece and caretaker of over 30 year, Jackie Higgins; siblings, June Lindsey, Dale (Melody) Hebert, and LeRoy (Joyce) Hebert and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jessie is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie, Sr. and Thelma Boudreaux Hebert; siblings, Barbara Guidry, Michael Hebert, Carroll Hebert and brother-in-law, Raymond “Red” Lindsey.

Jessie lived a simple and peaceful life. He wasn’t one to need or want much of anything. He didn’t care much for company but would always welcome his family and friends with open arms. His loved ones will remember him affectionally by his nickname, “Goat”, for his hard-headed ways.

The family would like to extend a special Thank you to Haydel Memorial Hospice for their compassion and care over the years.

He will be deeply and dearly missed by all those who had the honor to know and love him.
