Jeraline Arceneaux Bergeron, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was a native of Gibson and resident of Bayou Black.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home on Sunday, October 24, 2021, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, October 25, 2021, at St. Anthony Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Bayou Black Cemetery.
Jeraline is survived by her children, Jill B. Junot, Randal Bergeron and Connie B. Vendetto and husband John; grandchildren, Jordan Junot (Samantha) and Johnathan Junot (Margaret); great-grandchildren, Tinsely and Paislee Junot and TayLyne Vendetto; sister and best friend, Rae Ann Boudreaux; sister in law, Rosabelle Arceneaux; fur baby, Brinley and grand fur baby, Chula.
Jeraline was preceded in death by her husband, Ruffin Bergeron, Jr.; parents, Jimmy and Leona Arceneaux; brother, Lawrence “Sonny” Arceneaux, sisters, Hilda A. Mahler (Bobby), Joyce A. Trahan (Nelson), Mildred A. Hebert (Guion), and Yvonne A. Gleason; brother-in-law, Lionel Boudreaux; nephews, Todd and Neal Boudreaux, Mike Hebert; niece, Jennifer Deligans.
Jeraline was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to everyone. She worked at Trahan’s Heating and Air for 40 years. She loved working in her yard. She made the best seafood gumbo, blackberry dumplings and strawberry cake. She enjoyed dancing and going to the casino.
