Jennie J Crabtree

Jennie S. Crabtree, a native of Westwego, LA. and resident of Houma, LA., passed peacefully on March 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

A visitation will be held in Jennie’s honor on Monday, March 7, 2022, in Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home from 11 AM until her Celebration of Life at 11:30 AM. Her burial will follow at Roger’s Cemetery in Bayou Blue, La.

Jennie is survived by her children, Karen Thibodaux and her 3 children, Carla Katz (Gene) and their 2 children, Patricia Hebert and her companion, Tommy Qualls, and her 2 children, Sue Ellen Portier (Blair Sr.) and her 4 children, Luana Velez (Harold) and her 5 children, and Skip Crabtree (Breni) and their 3 children; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

Jennie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Pat; parents, Ivy and Rose Savoie; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and her son-in-law, Danny Hebert.

Jennie was a loving and devoted sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and wife. Her family will always remember her for her love of bingo, fishing, dancing, travel, and music. She enjoyed her visits to the casino and beaches. Jennie never failed to support her Saints and Tigers on game day. Jennie will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
