Jeanette Margaret Boudreaux Luke

Jeanette Margaret Boudreaux Luke, age 92, a native and resident of Houma, La., passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Jeanette is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Paul Roland Luke; her son, Gary Paul Luke (Lyudmyla); her daughter, Christine Luke Matherne (Dave Sr.); her grandchildren, Gina Matherne Jackson, Mandy Matherne Overstreet, Dave Matherne, Jr., Blane Michael Pellegrin, Peggy Sue Pellegrin Dean, Stephanie Luke Forister, Tanya Luke and Vova Luke; 19 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Jeanette was preceded in passing by her parents, Morris Boudreaux and Caliscia LeBlanc Boudreaux; her daughter, Brenda Luke; her brothers, Henry Boudreaux, Norris Boudreaux and Junius Boudreaux; her sisters, Margaret "Maggie" Boudreaux Blanchard, Florence Boudreaux Dinger and Anna Boudreaux Partenheimer; and her great-grandson, Officer Justin Billa.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in honor of Jeanette on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Chauvin Funeral Home, in Magnolia Chapel, beginning at 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 9:00a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00a.m. Jeanette will be laid to rest immediately following her services in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Jeanette was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She loved to cook and bake for her family. She enjoyed sewing, taking pictures, and scrapbooking. She also loved flowers and gardening. 

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Haydel Hospice and their staff for all the care, love and compassion they provided and showed during their most difficult time.
