Janet "Janette" Dupre Breaux

October 28, 1944 — July 23, 2022

Janet “Janette” Dupre Breaux, age 77, passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Montegut and a longtime resident of Houma.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from Chapel Dauphine of Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, July 28, 2022, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday, July 29, 2022, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Janette is survived by her loving children, Earl Breaux, III and wife Karla of Johnstown, PA, Joey Breaux and wife Lisa of Gray, LA, Angelique Breaux Nicholas and husband Kris of Houma, LA, Foster Breaux of Houma, LA, and Quinton Breaux and fiancée Shannon of Houma, LA; grandchildren, Shawn, Shane, Sidney, Michaela, Koty, and Macy Breaux, Carolyn and Logan Nicholas; great grandchildren, Emilia, Sophia, Ash-lee, Dorian, Koty, Jr., Sebastian, and Wyatt Breaux; step grandchildren, Louis Nunez, Mike Crochet, Kimberly “KK” Saulters, Rene “Poochie” Boudreaux, Maxine Hill, April and Allison Bennette, Dylan Pellegrin, Haleigh and Natalie Landry, and Tyler Wilson and followed by nine step great grandchildren; sister, Alva “Sue” Dupre; Godchildren, Charlotte Dupre Blanchard and Stephanie Frasier Soileau.

Janette is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Breaux, Jr.; parents, William and Emily Dupre; brothers, William “Tippy” Dupre, Larry Dupre; twin sister, Janice Dupre.

Janette was fun, loving, caring, adventurous, but most of all loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. Anyone who knew Janette, knew she loved Mardi Gras and was a member of The Krewe of Cleopatra, loved playing cards, bingo, cruises, and casinos. Janette leaves a beautiful family behind to be reunited with her loving husband and family members. May she rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family would like to thank The Oaks of Houma for their love and care, especially Sherry for her extended care.
