Jane Marie Breaux Hebert

Jane Marie Breaux Hebert, age 79 years, a native of and resident of Houma, died peacefully on Friday December 9,2022 at 12:42 PM  surrounded by family, and friends.

A visitation in her honor will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 in the Chapel Magnolia of Chauvin Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until service time.  A liturgy of the Word will be conducted at 1:00 PM with interment to follow in St. Francis II Mausoleum.

Mrs. Jane is survived by her daughter, Ginger Hebert and special friend, Michael Landreth. Grandchildren, Ashley Hirtle and spouse Donald Lodrigue, Dayna Tindle and spouse Justin Hendricks, Josh Arceneaux and spouse Kathan Arceneaux, Christopher Breaux. Sister, Rosemary Walker, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and fur baby Jake “My Little Boy” Hebert.

She was preceded in death by, her loving husband of 53 years, Albert “Curly” Hebert, parents Louis Breaux SR, Lottie Dumesnil. Her siblings, Leola Hebert, Louis Breaux JR, and Iona Guidry.

She and her husband were proprietors of A-Bear’s Café, for 60 years. If you ever had a meal there, you would have seen her greeting you at the register. The family would like to thank everyone that supported the restaurant throughout the years, countless years of voting us the “best gumbo” for the past 7 years.

The family would like to take this opportunity to send a special thank you to, Tammy Miller, and everyone who helped make her final days comfortable and meaningful.
