Jane Elizabeth Falor

Jane Elizabeth Canada Falor passed away after a period of frail health on October 14, 2022, in Houma, LA at the age of 88.  She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on April 17, 1934, to Jesse E. Canada, Sr. and Maude Blanch Ashwell Canada.  She was the fourth child and the only girl born into her family. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Clint.  Jane was a proud United States Navy wife and spent 30 years supporting Clint’s active duty. He spent his career as a Naval nuclear engineer. She kept the home fires burning while he was out to sea for many months at a time. They had three children, Emma, John and Bob.  After living in Virginia Beach, VA and Currituck, NC for many years, they lived in Beaver Falls, PA, then moved to Southport, NC. Her beloved Clint passed away in 2007 after 53 years of marriage. In 2017, Jane moved to Houma, LA to live with her son Robert.   

Jane is survived by her three children: Emma Williams (Ron) of Leland, NC, John Falor of Southport NC and Robert Falor of Houma, LA. Six grandchildren: Jennifer Williams, Jason Williams (Sabrina), Alan Williams, Kelly Falor, Jessica Martin (James), Leah Falor; 4 great grandchildren: Jackson, Waylon, Rowan, Isla James.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Jesse (Shine) Canada Jr., William (Billy) Canada, James “Jeep, Blackie” Canada and her husband, Clinton S. Falor.

Jane enjoyed tennis, horseback riding, bowling, crafts, reading and cooking.  She loved animals, especially Yorkshire terriers who were her constant companions.  She loved her family beyond words. She had a heart for helping others, most especially underprivileged children in any way that she could.  She will be dearly missed.
